Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Migeal Quintes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nico Parcon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Parcon is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Remember the name. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
14 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Migeal Quintes! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 13 - 0, fighting out of New York, Nico Parcon! The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Anthony Taglia and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Parcon misses with an uppercut. Quintes saw that one coming. Quintes staying out of range there. Quintes walks into a left hand.
It looks like Migeal Quintes has been cut. Parcon changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Quintes tries to avoid it but Parcon manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Quintes to the ground. Quintes escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Quintes defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Parcon. Migeal Quintes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nico Parcon. Quintes connects with a leg kick. Parcon looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Parcon closes the distance and clinches up with Quintes, looking for a takedown. Parcon pushes Quintes against the cage but Quintes circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Quintes tries to clinch but Parcon is having none of it. Quintes fails to land the takedown. Parcon misses with an uppercut. Quintes saw that one coming. Parcon takes a swing at Quintes's ribcage but misses. Quintes tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Parcon swivels and escapes. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Parcon defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Quintes. Quintes tries to clinch there but Parcon circles away.
Parcon keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Quintes tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Parcon paws at him with a jab and circles away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Parcon looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Quintes fails with the takedown. Parcon shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Quintes sprawls well. Quintes wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Parcon gets slowly back to his feet. Parcon misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Quintes.

Parcon throws a nice looking combination but Quintes bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Parcon tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Quintes was well out of range. Poor timing from Parcon. Quintes throws a sloppy head kick and Parcon moves out of range easily. Parcon swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Quintes counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Parcon! The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Quintes tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Quintes looking to finish with strikes here!
Quintes has hold of Parcon's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Parcon manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Parcon is trying to get back to his feet but can't. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Parcon misses with a hook. Nico Parcon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Parcon misses with a few strikes there.

Parcon changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Quintes looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Quintes tries to get back to half guard but can't. Parcon is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Quintes has escaped the position, nice work there. Parcon is putting a hurting on Quintes here, landing some big shots from side control. Quintes takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Parcon postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

That's one minute gone in the round. Parcon is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Quintes is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Parcon working away. Quintes regains half guard. Quintes controlling the position well. Parcon thows a huge punch but Quintes dodges it nicely.
Parcon is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Migeal Quintes overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Quintes slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Parcon is looking to work some ground and pound but Quintes has wrist control. Parcon postures up in Quintes's guard and throws a big left but Quintes blocks it. Parcon works over Quintes with some ground and pound from guard. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Parcon's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Quintes has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Parcon can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Parcon must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Parcon postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Parcon is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Quintes is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Quintes has escaped and now he's on top! Parcon wants to stand up but Quintes is controlling him.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Parcon uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Quintes is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Parcon has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Parcon there as he acknowledges the shot. Parcon fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Parcon is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Migeal Quintes. That's going to take a lot out of him. Parcon has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Quintes regains guard immediately. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Parcon postures up.

Quintes working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Parcon. Quintes looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Quintes lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Parcon! Parcon wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.

Parcon has one foot on Quintes's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. A looping hook to the body misses from Parcon. Quintes does a little dance to reset his feet. Parcon swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Quintes gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Parcon regains guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Migeal Quintes just wasn't active enough. Parcon will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Quintes tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Parcon just stands there and leans against the cage. Quintes gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Parcon.
Parcon has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Quintes avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Parcon has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. A head punch blocked on the inside by Quintes. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Parcon. Quintes drags the fight down to the ground.
This has been an exciting period of action! Parcon missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Parcon is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Quintes working for a triangle but Parcon defends it easily.

And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Nico Parcon. I think Parcon has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
