The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Velilkov is pushing Wilson up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Velilkov takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Velilkov has his foot on Wilson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Wilson works his way back into a safe position though.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Velilkov had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Wilson defends it easily.
Wilson must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Wilson avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Velilkov has his foot on Wilson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Wilson works his way back into a safe position though.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Wilson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Velilkov has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Wilson has managed to get both his arms back between Velilkov's legs - danger averted.
