The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Stewart Dunkirk and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva falls off balance throwing a combination
and Diaz counters with a left to the body.
Silva catches Diaz with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Diaz thows a left - swing and a miss!
Diaz fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Silva manages to avoid it.
Diaz looks to score with a jab to the body but Silva is just out of range.
Silva dodges the punch combination from Diaz.
Diaz lands with a right hand.
Diaz uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Silva has time to react.
It looks like Paz Silva has been cut.
Silva avoids the body shot from Diaz.
Silva swings and misses with a hook to the body.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Diaz avoids a punch combination nicely.
Silva changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Silva cracks Diaz with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the ropes.

Silva swings for the body but Diaz moves out of range.
A looping hook to the body misses from Diaz. Silva does a little dance to reset his feet.

Diaz throws a good cross that connects.
Diaz drops Silva with a huge uppercut! Silva drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. Diaz is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!

Nick Diaz decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
