And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Anthony Taglia and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nation uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Makritsky.
A head kick misses from Nation.
A slapping leg kick lands for Nation.
Makritsky misses with a lunging right hand
and Nation counters with a good, hard body kick but Makritsky shrugs it off.
Makritsky blocks a head kick by Nation.
Nation connects with a body shot.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Nation lands a jab to Makritsky's midsection.
Makritsky is breathing heavily.
Nation misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Nation is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Makritsky.
Makritsky misses with a lunging right hand
and Nation counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
It looks like Vadim Makritsky has been cut.
Red Nation seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nation throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Nation looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
A solid body kick from Nation.
Nation bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Nation lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Makritsky circles away quickly and effectively.
Nation misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Makritsky shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Nation sprawls well. Nation wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Makritsky gets slowly back to his feet.
Makritsky ducks under a wild hook from Nation.
Crunch! Nation slams his shin into Makritsky's torso.
Nation connects with a leg kick. Makritsky looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Nation.
Nation drops Makritsky with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Makritsky looks back up at him and smiles so Nation waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Makritsky is rocked!
Ohhhhhhhhhh, brutal head kick from Nation! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Red Nation!
