Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rodrigo Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Duarte Frazier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gracie comes to the cage accompanied by Till I Collapse. Duarte Frazier will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rodrigo Gracie! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Duarte Frazier! The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Thiago Cunha and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Frazier misses with a hook. A looping hook to the body misses from Frazier. Gracie does a little dance to reset his feet. Frazier fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Gracie manages to avoid it. Frazier lands the left hand. Gracie wants to slow Frazier down by chopping away at his legs. Gracie doesn't succeed with the takedown and Frazier counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Gracie shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Gracie tries to free his leg and advance position but Frazier is retaining full guard. Gracie trying to control but Frazier is working from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Gracie thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Gracie drops back looking for a leg! Frazier is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Frazier manages to kick Gracie off! Gracie jumps back into Frazier's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gracie drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Gracie jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Frazier looks gassed! Gracie slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Gracie tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Gracie has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Frazier is not content to let Gracie control the position. Gracie looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Frazier prevents Gracie from moving into mount. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Frazier can do anything to dispel that myth. Frazier is not content to let Gracie control the position. Frazier is trying to improve his position. Gracie has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Frazier is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Gracie yanks on the arm and Frazier is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Gracie.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Rodrigo Gracie! A determined Rodrigo Gracie didn't want to dwell on this fight in his post fight interview. Instead he was more keen to state he wants a title shot. Let's see if he gets it!
