Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Givonia Santiago (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gervazio Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Givonia Santiago looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Paulo Santos and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva fails in his attempt to clinch.
Santiago looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Silva.
Silva tries to clinch but Santiago is having none of it.
Silva shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Silva fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.

and Santiago counters with an outside leg kick.
Givonia Santiago has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gervazio Silva.
Silva closes the distance and clinches.
Silva manages to break the clinch.
Silva tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Santiago manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Santiago displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Silva.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Santiago creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Silva sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Silva gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Santiago wants to pass the guard but Silva is defending well.

Silva is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Silva is trying to keep Santiago in close.
Silva will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Santiago drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Silva manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Santiago has Silva in his guard.
Silva prevents Santiago from getting back to his feet.
Silva gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Silva decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Silva is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Santiago is just riding it out for now. Silva eventually gives up the hold.
Well, if Silva is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Silva wants to control the pace but Santiago is squirming around nicely.
The referee warns Santiago that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Silva sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Silva is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Silva is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Santiago to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Santiago shrugs it off.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Gervazio Silva dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Santiago ducks straight into an uppercut from Silva and tumbles to the canvas! It’s a flash knockdown though - Santiago manages to regain guard straight away.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Santiago pulls Silva in to control the position.
Silva stands and steps away. Santiago gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Santiago with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Silva to score with a decent uppercut.
Santiago is rocked!
Silva lunges in with a left hook that violently twists Santiago head around and knocks him out cold! Silva hops onto the cage and yells out at the top of his lungs - Yeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaah! They're showing the replay on the big screens now; that was nasty! I hope one of the photographers got a good shot of it.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:30 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Gervazio Silva!
