Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
20 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tsuyoshi Tamatso! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 22 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Keith Ronald Kernspecht! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Hirohito Nitta and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kernspecht throws a right hand that Tamatso ducks under and follows up with a left that Tamatso also avoids with ease. Tamatso tries to score with a low kick but Kernspecht moves his leg out of the way. Kernspecht misses with a head kick.
Keith Ronald Kernspecht seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kernspecht throws a nice looking combination but Tamatso bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Tamatso gets a clinch. A frustrated look appears on Kernspecht's face as he tries to break the clinch. Tamatso goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Kernspecht looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Tamatso lands with a short shot to the head. Kernspecht is trying to break free. Kernspecht tries to break free but Tamatso pushes him back against the cage. Tamatso prevents Kernspecht from breaking the clinch. Kernspecht wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Tamatso throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Kernspechts head. Kernspecht tries to circle away but Tamatso has him pinned against the cage. Tamatso's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Tamatso pulls guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kernspecht wanted to stand there but Tamatso had control of the position. Tamatso is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Kernspecht rolls with it to try and escape but Tamatso cranks on the arm and Kernspecht is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
