Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Mark Coalman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gary Bowman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mark Coalman looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mark Coalman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gary Bowman! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, George Francis and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Coalman shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Bowman defends it nicely. Coalman shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Bowman as he jumps to the side. Bowman will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Coalman throws a right and a left that Bowman avoids nicely. Coalman fails to land with a series of punches.
Coalman misses with a takedown attempt - Bowman sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mark Coalman. That's going to take a lot out of him. Bowman looks for a takedown but Coalman sprawls well. Bowman changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Coalman tries to avoid it but Bowman manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Coalman to the ground. Coalman escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Bowman fails in his attempt to clinch. Coalman tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Bowman paws at him with a jab and circles away. Bowman tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Bowman has taken the fight to the clinch.

Coalman's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Coalman shoots in looking for a takedown but Bowman manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Coalman's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Coalman tries to close the distance and clinch up but Bowman swats him away and circles back towards the center. Bowman misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Bowman circles away from the clinch attempt.

Coalman manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Coalman shoots in but no luck this time. Coalman is breathing heavily. Coalman dives in and grabs Bowman's left leg, looking for a takedown. Bowman pushes down on Coalman's head and hops out. Coalman misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

That's three minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on Bowman's back here. They're not happy about his lack of aggression in the clinch. Coalman really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Bowman drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Coalman looks to land a combination but Bowman avoids it well. Bowman clinches up with Coalman and pushes him back against the cage. Bowman stops a takedown attempt from Coalman.

A close round but Gary Bowman will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Coalman lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Bowman circles away quickly and effectively. Bowman tries to score a power double leg takedown but Coalman sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Bowman somewhat. Coalman moves into range and clinches up with Bowman. Coalman drags the fight down to the ground.
Bowman wants to control from the top but Coalman keeps moving. Bowman is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Bowman wants to control from the top but Coalman keeps moving.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bowman must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Gary Bowman hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Bowman lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Bowman controls Coalman momentarily but Coalman frees himself. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Coalman accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Bowman working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Coalman. Coalman looking to pass the guard. Bowman manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Coalman manages to get himself to full guard.

Bowman trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Coalman tries to land a sweep but no joy. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Bowman looking to sit in guard and control but Coalman gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Bowman escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Coalman gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Gary Bowman will probably get the nod - 10:9. That's time! Back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Coalman is fighting to break Bowman's control of his arms but Bowman is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Bowman is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Bowman perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

And that's the end of the fight! Gary Bowman comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Bowman has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
