Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Evans (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jean Montillo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Evans comes to the cage accompanied by Emoyrean Mercenaries. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Alan Glass and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Montillo lands a lovely overhand right.
Evans throws a lazy right hand but Montillo sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Montillo avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Montillo drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Evans keeping moving, preventing Montillo from controlling successfully.
Evans working for a triangle but Montillo defends it easily.

Montillo got a little sloppy there for a moment and Evans has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Montillo has managed to get both his arms back between Evans's legs - danger averted.
Evans has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Montillo is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Evans.
