Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gregor Clegane!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
10 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Reynald Mercier!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Chris Downing and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Clegane lands with an uppercut that bounces Mercier off the cage and back into range.
Clegane cracks Mercier with a good jab.
Nice cross by Clegane.
Mercier closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Mercier throws a series of punches but Clegane avoids them all with ease.
Mercier steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Clegane.
Mercier changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Clegane tries to avoid it but Mercier manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Clegane to the ground. Clegane escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Mercier moves out of range of the body kick from Clegane.
Mercier punishes Clegane's body with a nice straight punch.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Clegane lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Clegane.
Clegane darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Mercier is rocked!
Clegane throws an overhand right that drops Mercier like a sack of potatoes! Clegane dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Gregor Clegane!
