The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
McGee wants to improve his position but Rivera is controlling well.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if McGee can do anything to dispel that myth.
Rivera wants to take a breather but McGee is having none of it.

Rivera jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… McGee is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by McGee and Rivera has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Rivera goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, McGee has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Rivera but great work by McGee.

McGee has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Rivera displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as McGee throws out the jab.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


McGee misses with a wild combination.
Rivera gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and McGee counters with a three punch combo that has Rivera backing up. Rivera nods at McGee to acknowledge the strikes.
Rivera will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Rivera shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Antonio Rivera. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Rivera changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. McGee tries to avoid it but Rivera manages to keep hold of a leg and drag McGee to the ground. McGee escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Nice defenses there by Rivera.
I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! McGee has cracked Rivera with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! McGee lands another huge swinging hook and Rivera tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Rivera, before McGee can land any more shots!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:48 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Tiny McGee!
