The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fabinal shoots in and drives through. Dodson sprawls well.
Dodson drives through and clinches with Fabinal against the cage.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Dodson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Fabinal gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dodson is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Dodson throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Dodson wants to sweep here but Fabinal controlling him for the moment.
Fabinal won't allow Dodson to get back to his feet.

Dodson stalks Fabinal and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Fabinal's face. Fabinal staggers backwards, shaken.

Fabinal throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Dodson's waist but Dodson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Fabinal off to one side.

Fabinal tries to score a power double leg takedown but Dodson sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Fabinal somewhat.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

John Dodson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Dodson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
