Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mark Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Rosholt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jake Rosholt is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mark Silva! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jake Rosholt! The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Lou da Vinci and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rosholt closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Silva did well to prevent Rosholt getting side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Rosholt is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Rosholt trying to mount his opponent but Silva defends it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rosholt is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Silva doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Rosholt. Rosholt prevents Silva from improving his position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rosholt with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. It looks like Rosholt might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Rosholt passes into side control, despite Silva's attempt to control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Silva is being controlled here.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Jake Rosholt. Silva swings for the body but Rosholt moves out of range.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Silva tries to keep at a distance but Rosholt has taken the fight into the clinch. Rosholt avoiding damage.
Rosholt creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Silva's defenses.
It looks like Mark Silva has been cut. Silva tries to score a body lock takedown but Rosholt shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Silva is fighting off a takedown attempt but Rosholt is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Silva to the mat. Silva regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Silva is breathing heavily. Rosholt engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Rosholt loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rosholt looking to pass the guard. Rosholt is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jake Rosholt dominated that round. The cut man is working on Mark Silva's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Silva shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Rosholt decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Silva's guard. Rosholt is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Rosholt won't allow Silva to sweep him here.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Jake Rosholt. Rosholt closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Rosholt fails to land a wild elbow strike.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Jake Rosholt hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Rosholt throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Silva tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Rosholt is in Silva's guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jake Rosholt showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Mark Silva's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Jake Rosholt wasn't active enough on the ground. Rosholt shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Silva manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Rosholt controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Rosholt loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Jake Rosholt. Rosholt bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Silva taking punishment in the form of punches.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Silva is trying to escape the position but Rosholt is controlling the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Let's hope that Rosholt has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Jake Rosholt has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Rosholt feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Rosholt showing good wrestling skills to control the position.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Jake Rosholt wasn't active enough on the ground. Rosholt feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Silvas jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Mark Silva has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Rosholt drives through with a takedown into guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Jake Rosholt comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Rosholt has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
