Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Lews Van Pelt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eoin Andershannon O Darby (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Lews Van Pelt! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Eoin Andershannon O Darby! The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, James Glass and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Van Pelt pushes O Darby up against the cage in a clinch. Van Pelt prevents O Darby from breaking the clinch. Van Pelt ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Van Pelt no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Van Pelt had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. O Darby is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Van Pelt Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take O Darby's back instead. Van Pelt is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but O Darby has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here. O Darby breaks Van Pelt's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
O Darby postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Van Pelt is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of O Darby, into his guard. O Darby has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Van Pelt can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. O Darby looking to control.
That's one minute gone in the round. O Darby looking for a guillotine here but Van Pelt defends easily.
O Darby escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Van Pelt gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. O Darby looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Van Pelt has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Van Pelt stands up from guard. Let's bang! O Darby staying out of range there. Van Pelt throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
That's two minutes gone in the round. O Darby keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
O Darby scores with a jab to the body. A head kick misses from Van Pelt. O Darby throws out a powerful jab. Van Pelt fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but O Darby is out of range. Eoin Andershannon O Darby is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Van Pelt ducks under a wild hook from O Darby. A cross from O Darby lands. Van Pelt has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Van Pelt there as he acknowledges the shot. Eoin Andershannon O Darby seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Van Pelt clinches with his opponent.
Van Pelt escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Van Pelt takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Van Pelt is breathing heavily. O Darby throws out a powerful jab. O Darby misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
O Darby lands a jab to Van Pelt's midsection. O Darby avoids the head kick by Van Pelt.
O Darby lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Van Pelt takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nice combo by O Darby! Oh, that's hurt him - Van Pelt falls to the canvas and O Darby follows him into side control.
Van Pelt is rocked!
It looks like Lews Van Pelt has been cut. O Darby wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Van Pelt, who protects the arm well. Oh Van Pelt is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Van Pelt is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, O Darby asserts his dominance and retains side control. Van Pelt seems to have got his legs back now. Van Pelt tries to improve position but can't. Van Pelt holding on. O Darby thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. O Darby working away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. O Darby is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Van Pelt has escaped the position, nice work there. O Darby wants to control but Van Pelt is keeping him busy. Van Pelt regains half guard. Van Pelt wants to control but O Darby is keeping busy.
Van Pelt misses with some strikes from the bottom.
O Darby wants to take a breather but Van Pelt is having none of it. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. O Darby wants to free his trapped foot but Van Pelt is holding on for dear life with his legs. O Darby is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Van Pelt is just riding it out for now. O Darby eventually gives up the hold. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Eoin Andershannon O Darby dominated that round. The cut man is working on Lews Van Pelt's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Van Pelt throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Van Pelt throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Van Pelt throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Van Pelt throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Lews Van Pelt is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. O Darby lands with a straight right. Van Pelt didn't see that one coming. O Darby will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Van Pelt instigates a clinch. Van Pelt escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. O Darby misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Van Pelt.
O Darby slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Van Pelt scoring well with a low kick there.
Van Pelt swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and O Darby counters with a straight right hand. Nice jab there from O Darby.
That's one minute gone in the round. O Darby connects with a good right hand that stumbles Van Pelt. Van Pelt circles away out of range and recomposes himself. O Darby scores with a jab to the body. Van Pelt walks into a jab. Van Pelt fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
O Darby attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. O Darby missing with a left hand there. Van Pelt was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Van Pelt shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Van Pelt was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. O Darby is wriggling around trying to escape.
O Darby tries to improve his position but instead Van Pelt has taken his back! Van Pelt is not going to allow O Darby to sit and survive in this position. O Darby breaks Van Pelt's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
O Darby tries to free his leg and advance position but Van Pelt is retaining full guard. O Darby trying to control the position from guard on top but Van Pelt is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. O Darby passes into half guard. O Darby is looking for a kimura but Van Pelt is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for O Darby to get the leverage. O Darby is trying to work for a kimura but Van Pelt is defending well.
O Darby tries to pass to full mount but Van Pelt defends it. O Darby sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Van Pelt defending well though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. O Darby seems to be working for a kimura but Van Pelt defends the submission attempt. Van Pelt gets full guard. Van Pelt keeping moving, preventing O Darby from controlling successfully. O Darby tries to free his leg and advance position but Van Pelt is retaining full guard. O Darby prevents Van Pelt from getting back to his feet. O Darby passes Van Pelt's right leg, so he's now in half guard. O Darby winds up and cracks Van Pelt with a swinging punch to the side of the head. O Darby prevents Van Pelt from standing back up.
Van Pelt has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. O Darby is working away from the top position though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Van Pelt manages to escape and get back to his feet! Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Van Pelt!
Eoin Andershannon O Darby seems to be getting the better of the standup. Some wild striking there from Van Pelt.
O Darby throws a good cross that connects.
O Darby throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
O Darby digs a good body shot into Van Pelt's ribs. O Darby looks to score with a jab to the body but Van Pelt is just out of range. O Darby swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Van Pelt thuds his shin into the meat of O Darby's side. Van Pelt keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Van Pelt moves away from the strike by O Darby. O Darby takes a jab right on the kisser.
Van Pelt gets a clinch. Van Pelt escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Eoin Andershannon O Darby showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Lews Van Pelt's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
O Darby connects with a crisp jab. Van Pelt forces O Darby back against the cage and clinches. Van Pelt manages to break the clinch.
O Darby fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Van Pelt manages to avoid it. O Darby with a body punch. A glancing blow. O Darby fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Van Pelt looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. O Darby works over Van Pelt's head and body with a nice combination. Van Pelt rushes O Darby and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Van Pelt keeps control of O Darby as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Van Pelt breaks the clinch.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Van Pelt with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling O Darby to score with a decent uppercut. O Darby catches Van Pelt with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! O Darby looks to throw the jab but Van Pelt is out of range. O Darby misses with a jab, cross combination.
Van Pelt tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
That's one minute gone in the round. Van Pelt is looking to land body kicks. O Darby lunges at Van Pelt with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Van Pelt's hand. Van Pelt is on the wrong end of a nice combination from O Darby. Van Pelt throws a half hearted mid kick. O Darby throws a head kick that misses and Van Pelt counters with a nice double leg into guard. O Darby is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Van Pelt wants to stand but O Darby has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Van Pelt wants to control from the top but O Darby keeps moving. O Darby is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's two minutes gone in the round. O Darby is looking for a triangle but Van Pelt pushes his legs off easily.

O Darby looks to land a left hand but Van Pelt moved out of range nicely. O Darby throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Van Pelt sees it coming and avoids it easily. O Darby misses with a two punch combination.
A shot to de liver by O Darby. Beautiful body shot. Van Pelt lands a jab-cross combination. O Darby punishes Van Pelt's body with a nice straight punch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Van Pelt takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Van Pelt throws a right and a left that both miss. O Darby throws a head kick that misses and Van Pelt counters with a nice double leg into half guard. O Darby moves into full guard.
Van Pelt gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. O Darby looks to throw the jab but Van Pelt is out of range. Van Pelt throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by O Darby. O Darby throws a good cross that connects.
A chopping leg kick lands by Van Pelt. Van Pelt moves into the clinch successfully.
Van Pelt escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
O Darby ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Van Pelt moves away. Van Pelt throws a mid kick that lands with a slap. A big left from O Darby misses. Lews Van Pelt has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's four minutes gone in the round. A slapping body kick lands there for Van Pelt. Van Pelt closes the distance and clinches. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! O Darby wants to break free but Van Pelt has control.
Van Pelt breaks from the clinch.
Van Pelt lands a high kick!
Van Pelt cracks the inside of O Darby's front leg. Van Pelt throws a head kick that O Darby semi-blocks.
O Darby scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. O Darby keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Van Pelt walks into a straight right hand from O Darby. Van Pelt staying out of range there. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. O Darby connects with a nice looking jab.
O Darby lands a jab to the nose. O Darby dodges the punch combination from Van Pelt.
O Darby misses with a kick to the body and Van Pelt counters with a head kick. That will keep O Darby thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Van Pelt moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
And that's the end of the fight! Lews Van Pelt showed his dominance in that final round. I think O Darby has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
