The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Emelianenko fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Africanus manages to avoid it.
Africanus avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Emelianenko tries to clinch but Africanus moves out of range.

and Africanus counters with a single leg into guard. Emelianenko didn't expect that.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
