Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Pumola Chang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kichiro Kaneko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

12 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kichiro Kaneko!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Robert Douchet and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kaneko tries to clinch but Chang is having none of it.
Chang lands with a shot to the body.
Kaneko avoids the body shot from Chang.
Kaneko uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Chang has time to react.
Chang scores with a shot to the body.
A clash of legs there as Chang blocks the low kick.
Chang throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Chang bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Kaneko's guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Kaneko drops back, looking for a kneebar! Chang looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Chang looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Chang!

Chang decides to stand back up. Chang steps back and let's Kaneko get back to his feet.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Chang crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Kaneko - the referee stops the clock and Chang gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Kaneko. Chang manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Well Kaneko has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
