Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rory MacDonald (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adam Walsh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Walsh throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent MacDonald stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Walsh throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
MacDonald tries to score a power double leg takedown but Walsh sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten MacDonald somewhat.
Walsh throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
MacDonald swings widly with a right hand
and Walsh counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
A swing and a miss from MacDonald.
MacDonald doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
A shot to the body from Walsh misses
and Walsh takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Walsh scores with a jab.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Walsh just misses with a punch to the body.
MacDonald moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Walsh throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Walsh scores with a body shot.
MacDonald is breathing heavily.

A jab-cross combination lands for Walsh and sends MacDonald crashing to the mat! Walsh follows him down to the mat - MacDonald regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!

MacDonald is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Walsh lands a massive shot from half guard that has rocked MacDonald! More strikes land and this one is all over! Walsh jumps to his feet and is applauded loudly by the crowd!
