Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Susumo Komota (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chad Brewster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Brewster's choice of entrance music: Way of the Fist. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Susumo Komota! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Chad Brewster! The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Komota gets caught napping as Brewster dives in and scores a takedown. Komota manages to retain guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Komota pulls Brewster in close to prevent any damage. Komota keeping moving, preventing Brewster from controlling successfully. Komota looking to hit a scissor sweep but Brewster is one step ahead there. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Brewster tries to free his leg and advance position but Komota is retaining full guard. Komota has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Brewster can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
That's one minute gone in the round. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Komota is on top in guard.

Brewster is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Brewster is on top in guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Brewster tries to free his leg and advance position but Komota is retaining full guard. Brewster throwing strikes from guard but Komota blocks nicely. Brewster pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Komota is keeping the position for now. Brewster is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Brewster working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Brewster with a flurry of punches that miss. Komota lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Brewster! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Komota cracks Brewster with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Komota working the ground and pound effectively.
It looks like Chad Brewster has been cut. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Brewster is looking to improve his position but Komota isn't that keen on the idea. Brewster sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Komota works his way into full mount! Brewster is in a horrible position here. Komota smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
That has opened up Chad Brewster's cut even more. Brewster really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Komota wants to control the pace but Brewster is squirming around nicely. Brewster working to try and regain half guard.
Komota trying to control but Brewster is having none of it. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Susumo Komota dominated that round. The cut man is working on Chad Brewster's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Brewster tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Komota is able to avoid easily. Brewster misses with a few strikes there.
Brewster throws a right and a left that Komota avoids nicely. Brewster is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Komota. Brewster keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Komota fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Susumo Komota seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Brewster looks to land a left hand but Komota moved out of range nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Some wild striking there from Brewster.
Brewster misses with an uppercut. Komota manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Brewster on his heels. He'll look to pass Brewster's guard now, I'm sure. Brewster tries to land a sweep but no joy. Brewster trying to control the position.
Komota trying to control but Brewster is working from the bottom. Komota passes Brewster's left leg - he's now in half guard. Brewster trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Komota manages to pass to mount!

That's two minutes gone in the round. Komota is really struggling to control Brewster but he's trying to hold on to the position. Brewster keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Komota is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Brewster is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Brewster flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Komota anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Brewster and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Komota slips an arm under Brewster chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Komota has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Komota is squeezing on Brewster like an anaconda would it's prey. Brewster fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:44 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Susumo Komota! A relieved looking Susumo Komota thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
