Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Eamon Dunphy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Obed Kunirio!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Ren Mimura and Yukihiro Shimada.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kunirio fails in his attempt to clinch.
Dunphy scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.


It looks like Obed Kunirio has been cut.
Dunphy takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Kunirio moves away from the strike by Dunphy.
Dunphy feints and then cracks Kunirio's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Kunirio down.
Kunirio moves out of range as Dunphy strikes.

Dunphy has managed to clinch.
A short body shot lands from Kunirio as the two fighters clinch.
Kunirio scores with an uppercut up the middle.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Dunphy's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Dunphy connects with a right hand. Kunirio shakes it off.
An inside leg kick lands from Dunphy.
Kunirio steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Dunphy. That one must have hurt.
Dunphy lands with a nice body punch.
Kunirio looks gassed!
Dunphy lands a nice hook to Kunirio's body. Kunirio takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Dunphy connects with a good right hand that stumbles Kunirio. Kunirio circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Dunphy circles away from the clinch attempt.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Dunphy doesn't manage to clinch there - Kunirio circles away.
Kunirio gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Kunirio walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.


That has opened up Obed Kunirio's cut even more.
Dunphy throws out a loose jab but Kunirio uses good head movement to avoid it.
A punch lands to the side of Kunirio 's head but he takes it in his stride.


Kunirio is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Dunphy uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kunirio.
Kunirio walks straight into a perfectly timed right hook, crumpling him to the floor! Kunirio is in all kinds of trouble here - can he beat the count? 3,4,5,6,7,8,9....10 - he's out and it's by a long way too - he didn't ever look like beating that count!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punch). Eamon Dunphy!
