Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Spartacus Thracian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kearney McGarrity (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Thracian comes to the cage accompanied by I am Spartacus!!! I stand alone . McGarrity has chosen Payback-Slayer as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

12 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Kearney McGarrity!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, William Peck and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McGarrity jabs at Thracian's body.
Thracian throws an off balance right hand
and McGarrity counters with a straight right hand.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from McGarrity lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Thracian has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Thracian and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Thracian throws an ugly left hook that misses
and McGarrity connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Kearney McGarrity seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Thracian on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Thracian walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
McGarrity fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Thracian.
Thracian tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but McGarrity paws at him with a jab and circles away.
McGarrity throws the left hand but Thracian avoids the punch easily.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
McGarrity lands with a cross.

Thracian uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from McGarrity.
McGarrity misses with an uppercut
and Thracian counters with a stiff right hand.
Thracian steps to the side to avoid the strikes from McGarrity.
McGarrity is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
McGarrity connects with the punch.
Thracian cracks McGarrity with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Thracian moves out of range as McGarrity strikes.
McGarrity swings for the body but Thracian moves out of range.
Thracian changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. McGarrity looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
McGarrity is not content to let Thracian control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
McGarrity is trying to control Thracian's posture but Thracian avoids it.
McGarrity tries to get back to half guard but can't.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The strikes coming from Thracian are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Thracian sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but McGarrity is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Thracian postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
McGarrity can't do much from the bottom here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

McGarrity is not content to let Thracian control the position.
Thracian working away.
McGarrity takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
An elbow from Thracian crashes against the mat.
McGarrity dodges the ground and pound from Thracian.
Thracian lands a few punches from side control.
Thracian throwing strikes but McGarrity manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!
McGarrity lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Thracian down.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Thracian is looking for a sweep.

McGarrity is looking to take a break and control but Thracian is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Thracian tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Thracian is working hard here to advance position.
Thracian might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Thracian wants to control but McGarrity postures up.
McGarrity cracks Thracian with a big right hand but Thracian just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
McGarrity wants to control but Thracian is keeping him busy.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Thracian tries to improve position but can't.
A control attempt from Thracian but he's now mounted!
McGarrity connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kearney McGarrity dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Thracian thows a body shot but no joy.
McGarrity looks to throw the jab but Thracian is out of range.
McGarrity ducks right into an uppercut from Thracian.
Thracian misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

McGarrity throws a left and a right that both miss
and Thracian counters with a nice uppercut.
McGarrity avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

McGarrity displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Thracian throws out the jab.
McGarrity throws a push kick but Thracian slaps the foot to one side.
McGarrity ducks under a wild hook from Thracian.
McGarrity attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Thracian misses with a right hand
and McGarrity counters with a big head kick but Thracian shrugs it off.
Thracian on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Thracian is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
McGarrity uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Thracian.
Thracian waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract McGarrity.

McGarrity ducks under a wild hook from Thracian.
McGarrity tries to land a front kick but Thracian steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Thracian throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Thracian.
Thracian loads up on a big right hand but McGarrity slips the punch.
McGarrity sets himself and throws a head kick that knocks Thracian to the ground! McGarrity dives into full mount looking to finish!
McGarrity lands a heavy elbow.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
McGarrity is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Thracian can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
McGarrity unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Thracian wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! McGarrity celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:23 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kearney McGarrity!
