Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Stanton Friedmon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pantero Athrox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Friedmon comes into the arena with Come Get on the Ho Train blaring out of the sound system. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

16 - 17 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Pantero Athrox!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, William Peck and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Athrox closes the distance and clinches up with Friedmon, looking for a takedown. Athrox pushes Friedmon against the cage but Friedmon circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

letting Friedmon counter with a right hand.
Athrox shoots for a takedown but Friedmon saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Stanton Friedmon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pantero Athrox.
Athrox fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Friedmon leaves Athrox with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Athrox fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Friedmon tries a body shot but Athrox blocks it.
Athrox tries to pull guard but Friedmon forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Friedmon is trying to trip Athrox. He has hold of a leg but Athrox is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Friedmon persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Friedmon keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Athrox's head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
