Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Whitey Marsh ! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, King Donkey! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, George Francis and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Marsh wants to clinch. Marsh looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Marsh wants to clinch up but Donkey keeps it at a distance. Donkey shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Marsh as he jumps to the side. Donkey tries to clinch there but Marsh circles away.
Donkey tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Marsh manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Donkey is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Marsh circles away from the clinch attempt.
Donkey looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Donkey drives through with a takedown into guard. Marsh looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Marsh is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Donkey has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Marsh is proving hard to escape from. Donkey must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
That's one minute gone in the round. Donkey controls from within his opponent's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Donkey stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Marsh swivels though and keeps the full guard. Donkey is looking to stand up but Marsh won't let him.
King Donkey has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Donkey closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Marsh 's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Marsh has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Donkey can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Marsh looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Marsh looking to hit a scissor sweep but Donkey is one step ahead there. Marsh throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Donkey with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Donkey looking to pass the guard. Marsh can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Donkey controls the pace.

He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Donkey stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Marsh swivels though and keeps the full guard.
OK we're going to have a standup here. King Donkey hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. A telegraphed right hand from Marsh misses the target. Marsh avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Donkey tries to close the distance and clinch up but Marsh swats him away and circles back towards the center. Marsh circles away from the clinch attempt.
Marsh misses the jab. Marsh tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Donkey swivels and escapes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Marsh throws a hook to the side of Donkey's head but Donkey sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Donkey scores a takedown into full mount! Marsh keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Donkey content just to control the position here. Marsh manages to regain half guard. Good work. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Marsh looking for submissions off his back. Donkey perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

and Donkey decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Marsh 's guard. Donkey really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Marsh . If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Donkey is stalling in the full guard. Marsh is looking for a triangle but Donkey pushes his legs off easily.

Donkey stays in close to Marsh 's body and controls the position.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. King Donkey wasn't active enough on the ground. Donkey throws a body kick that misses. Donkey shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Donkey controlling his opponent. Marsh is working to get back to half guard.

Marsh is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Donkey is controlling him well. Marsh is looking for a sweep. Marsh seems a little lost for a moment, as Donkey dominates the positioning. Marsh tries to buck Donkey off but Donkey is having none of it. Donkey tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Donkey has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Donkey lands a decent elbow from side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Marsh is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Donkey tries to move into full mount but can't pass Marsh 's legs. Marsh is looking to reverse the position. Marsh gets back to half guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Marsh wants to get back to full guard.
