Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rupert Murphy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tom Trauma (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rupert Murphy! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tom Trauma! The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Eddie Farnsworth and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Murphy moves away from the strike by Trauma. Trauma misses with a low kick. Trauma decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Trauma looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Trauma thows a huge punch but Murphy dodges it nicely.
Trauma is looking to take a break and control but Murphy is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Murphy pushes Trauma off looking to stand but Trauma dives back in and keeps control.
Trauma is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Trauma throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
That's one minute gone in the round. Trauma wants to pass the guard but Murphy is defending well. Trauma is thwarting Murphy's attempts to control the position.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Trauma thows a body shot but no joy. Trauma looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Trauma closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Trauma lands in his opponent's guard. Murphy trying to control the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Trauma lands a nice forearm strike. Trauma wants to control but Murphy is keeping him busy. You can see the frustration on Murphy's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Murphy pushes Trauma away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Trauma gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Trauma has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Trauma wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Murphy, who protects the arm well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Murphy is trying to get back to half guard. Murphy is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Murphy is trying to control but can't.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Trauma shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Trauma was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Trauma takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Trauma looks gassed! Murphy tries to lock up and control but Trauma gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Trauma trying to control but he's not successful this time. Trauma wants to take Murphy's back here but Murphy is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Murphy gets back to half guard. Murphy works his way to full guard. Good work. Murphy keeping moving, preventing Trauma from controlling successfully. Trauma is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Murphy not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tom Trauma dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Murphy avoids a kick to the body.
Trauma shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Murphy's guard. Trauma throws a strike but Murphy rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Murphy wants to control from the top but Trauma keeps moving. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Trauma is pulling down on Murphy's head. It's preventing any offense from Murphy, at least for the moment. Trauma has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Murphy is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Trauma. Trauma is breathing heavily. Trauma manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Murphy is not content to let Trauma control the position. Murphy pushes Trauma off looking to stand but Trauma dives back in and keeps control.
Trauma working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Murphy punching from the bottom.
Murphy won't allow Trauma to pass to mount. Murphy trying to hold on to Trauma's head to control him but Trauma postures up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Murphy avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Trauma.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Murphy fails to land the takedown. Trauma shoots in but no luck this time. No joy there for Trauma, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
A jab from Murphy does it's job there. Trauma closes the distance and clinches up with Murphy, looking for a takedown. Trauma pushes Murphy against the cage but Murphy circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Murphy lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Murphy shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Trauma counters with an inside leg kick. Trauma avoids the head kick by Murphy.

Murphy throws a nice looking combination but Trauma bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Trauma drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Trauma lands a decent elbow from side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Murphy tries to buck Trauma off but Trauma is having none of it. Murphy is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Trauma taking a breather here. Trauma is working to tighten is grip on Murphy's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Murphy has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Trauma is really squeezing tight and eventually Murphy passes out! Trauma breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
