Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ronnie Putnam (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sam Prado (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Putnam kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is tap out. Ronnie Putnam has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ronnie Putnam! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sam Prado! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Cecil Peabody and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Putnam closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Putnam lands in his opponent's guard. Prado keeping moving, preventing Putnam from controlling successfully. Putnam is looking to stand up but Prado won't let him. Putnam avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Prado tries to land a sweep but no joy. Prado is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Prado working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Putnam doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Putnam manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Prado throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Putnam passes easily into side control. Nice work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Prado can't do much from the bottom here. Putnam decides to stand up, so the ref orders Prado to his feet. Putnam misses with a double jab.
Putnam takes the fight into the clinch. Putnam jumps into guard, dragging Prado to the mat.
Putnam keeping moving, preventing Prado from controlling successfully. Putnam can't keep his opponent in guard - Prado advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Putnam tries to roll over but Prado keeps him under control. Prado is trying to control the action in half guard but Putnam is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Putnam actively working from the bottom here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Prado passes the guard and advances to mount!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Prado lands a big elbow. Prado goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Putnam is on top in guard.
Putnam avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Prado looks gassed! Putnam trying to control the position from guard on top but Prado is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Sam Prado will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Prado ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Putnam moves away. Putnam is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Prado's half guard. Prado controlling the leg, holding on to half guard. Prado should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Putnam is looking for a kimura but Prado is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Putnam to get the leverage. Putnam is thwarting Prado's attempts to control the position. Prado is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Putnam pulls his head out easily. Prado looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Prado is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Putnam slips a nice elbow through Prado's hands, connecting with Prado's forehead. Putnam wants to pass to mount but Prado is defending the position. Prado is looking to improve his position.
Prado flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Prado is not content to let Putnam control the position. Prado trying to control but Putnam postures up.
Prado is in trouble now - Putnam has advanced to mount! Putnam working for a submission but Prado is keeping him at bay.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Putnam takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Prado slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Prado is looking to escape. Prado is looking for a sweep. Putnam is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Putnam seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Prado does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Putnam takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Putnam is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Putnam looking to finish Prado with some ground and pound. This is bad for Prado! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Putnam trying to control but Prado is having none of it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Putnam working the ground and pound effectively.
Putnam trying to control but he's not successful this time. Putnam prevents Prado from getting the reversal. Putnam can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Prado is looking to escape. Prado can't escape the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Putnam trying to control but he's not successful this time. Putnam raining down hammerfists from mount. Putnam lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Putnam looking to control but Prado is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Prado working to try and regain half guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. BOOM! Putnam connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Ronnie Putnam overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Prado is wriggling around trying to escape.
Prado is in a horrible position here. Putnam smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ronnie Putnam dominated that second round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Prado tries to land a leg kick but Putnam saw it coming and moves away.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Putnam enables Prado to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Putnam manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Prado postures up in Putnam's guard and throws a big left but Putnam blocks it. Putnam had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Prado defends it easily. Putnam avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Putnam keeping full guard, as Prado tries to pass. Prado trying to control but Putnam is working from the bottom. Putnam working for a triangle but Prado defends it easily.
Prado postures up in Putnam's guard and throws a big left but Putnam blocks it. Prado slips nicely into half guard. Putnam looking for submissions off his back.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Prado not landing any meaningful shots this time. Prado thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Prado thows a huge punch but Putnam dodges it nicely.
Prado is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Prado is trying to control. Putnam wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Well, if Prado is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Prado misses with a head shot. Putnam uses the momentum to regain guard. Prado has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Putnam to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Prado is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Putnam pulls down on the head and he's put Prado to sleep! This one is all over!
