The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shazad on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Hatake takes a swing at Shazad's ribcage but misses.
Hatake misses with a shot to the body
and Shazad cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Hatake keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Shazad.
Hatake throws a right and a left that both miss.
Hatake tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Shazad was well out of range. Poor timing from Hatake.
Uruhara Hatake seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Shazad pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Shazad looks to land a right hand but Hatake moved out of range.
Shazad misses with a hook. Hatake ducked under it nicely.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

No joy there for Hatake, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

and Hatake counters with a left and a right that hurts Shazad! He wobbles and falls to the floor - he's in big trouble! Hatake jumps into full mount!

Shazad is rocked!

It looks like Ejay Shazad has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Hatake looking for a guillotine from mount but Shazad is having none of it.
Oh Shazad is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Shazad is trying to stand.
Hatake can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Shazad is looking to escape.

Hatake get's back to his feet.

Hatake gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Shazad.
Shazad seems to have got his legs back now.
Shazad lands a body shot.
Hatake scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Hatake fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Hatake is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Shazad rather than just go for the knockout.
Shazad scores with the left hand. Hatake knows he should have avoided that one.
Hatake lands a jab to the nose.
Hatake cracks Shazad with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Shazad falls to his knees and Hatake doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
