Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Spiller Travesty (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chim Skrylvia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Spiller Travesty!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Chim Skrylvia!
The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Chris Saunders and Ryoma Takatsuka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Skrylvia shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Travesty defends it nicely.

Travesty decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Travesty thows a huge punch but Skrylvia dodges it nicely.
Skrylvia is looking to improve his position.
Skrylvia is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Travesty content to control rather than advance.
Skrylvia is trying to control but can't.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Travesty seems to be looking for submissions.

Travesty has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Travesty is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Skrylvia doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Travesty.

Travesty has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Skrylvia's face.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Travesty goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Skrylvia turns into him and now he's in Travesty's guard.

Travesty changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Skrylvia tries to avoid it but Travesty manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Skrylvia to the ground. Skrylvia escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Spiller Travesty. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Travesty shoots for a double leg takedown but Skrylvia sprawls well. He's pushed Travesty's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Travesty steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Skrylvia. That one must have hurt.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Skrylvia working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Travesty doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Travesty manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Travesty stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Skrylvia swivels though and keeps the full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Travesty lands with a kick to the temple. Skrylvia shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Travesty will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Travesty is looking to clinch but Skrylvia is avoiding it.

Travesty shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Skrylvia is trying to defend but Travesty finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Spiller Travesty.

Travesty feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Travesty leaves Skrylvia with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Skrylvia dives in and grabs Travesty's left leg, looking for a takedown. Travesty pushes down on Skrylvia's head and hops out.
Skrylvia takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Skrylvia throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Travesty's waist but Travesty gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Skrylvia off to one side.
Spiller Travesty has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chim Skrylvia.

Travesty closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Skrylvia quickly recovers to half guard.

Travesty is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Skrylvia has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Skrylvia wants to control but Travesty is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Travesty slips a nice elbow through Skrylvia's hands, connecting with Skrylvia's forehead.

Skrylvia slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Travesty decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Skrylvia, up you get!

Travesty shoots in and bounces Skrylvia off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Travesty, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
