Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Thai Johnny!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Lovell Ellis!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Paul Aken and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Johnny checks a leg kick.
Johnny dives in and grabs Ellis's left leg, looking for a takedown. Ellis pushes down on Johnny's head and hops out.
Johnny throws a right and a left that Ellis avoids nicely.
Ellis swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Johnny shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Ellis sprawls well. Ellis wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Johnny gets slowly back to his feet.
Johnny connects with a leg kick. Ellis looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Johnny throws a head kick but Ellis moves out of range.
Ellis lands a slapping body shot.
Nice straight punches there by Johnny. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Johnny.
It looks like Lovell Ellis has been cut.
Ellis shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Ellis was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Johnny tries to get back to half guard but can't.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Johnny is trying to reverse the position but instead Ellis has taken his back - oops!
Ellis is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Johnny with him. Johnny is trying to defend but Ellis has an arm under the chin now! Johnny grimaces and is forced to tap out!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Lovell Ellis!
