The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Solmunen or perhaps it was just good defense by Junior which made him look bad.
Junior misses with the combination.
Everaldo Junior seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Solmunen blocks a head kick by Junior.
Solmunen shoots in for a takedown but Junior shows good takedown defense.
Junior throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Solmunen.

Solmunen is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Junior is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Junior wants to get back to his feet but Solmunen drags him back down.

Solmunen changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Junior tries to avoid it but Solmunen manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Junior to the ground. Junior escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Solmunen shoots in and drives through. Junior sprawls well.

Solmunen has hold of Junior's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Junior seems comfortable defending it but Solmunen has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Junior is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Junior is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Solmunen couldn't care less - he's delighted!
