Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Max Cavalera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kris Smyth (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smyth has chosen Painkiller - Pendulum feat. Freestylers as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
14 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Max Cavalera! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
18 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kris Smyth! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Dillan Fox and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Smyth throws a head kick that Cavalera semi-blocks.
Cavalera scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Smyth throws a body kick, spinning off balance and Cavalera counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Smyth thinking. Cavalera avoids the body shot from Smyth.
Kris Smyth seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A head kick by Smyth misses enabling Cavalera to counter with a crisp jab. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Cavalera throws a body punch but Smyth moves out of range. Smyth tries to clinch up but Cavalera circles away and keeps his distance. Cavalera moves out of range of the leg kick from Smyth. Cavalera misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Cavalera tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Smyth was well out of range. Poor timing from Cavalera. Cavalera throws a nice looking combination but Smyth bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Smyth delivers a nice body kick. Cavalera swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
That's one minute gone in the round. Smyth lands a body shot.
Cavalera stuns Smyth with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Cavalera is looking to wear down Smyth with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Smyth looks for the body kick but Cavalera saw that one coming. Smyth throws a leg kick but Cavalera sees it coming and moves out of range. Smyth throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Smyth tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Cavalera was well out of range. Poor timing from Smyth. Cavalera swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Cavalera shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Cavalera showed some decent athleticism there. Smyth avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Cavalera. Smyth regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Cavalera.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cavalera stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Smyth swivels though and keeps the full guard. Cavalera trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Smyth manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! Cavalera is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Smyth advances to half guard. Cavalera looking for a kimura from the bottom but Smyth passes into side control! Cavalera sneaks back into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cavalera is looking for a sweep. Smyth is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Cavalera is working hard here to advance position. Smyth looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Smyth takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Smyth is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Well, if Smyth is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Kris Smyth wasn't active enough on the ground. Cavalera misses with a wild body shot. Cavalera staying out of range there. Cavalera digs a good hook to Smyth's body.
Cavalera lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Smyth at a distance.
Smyth swats away the attempt to clinch by Cavalera. Smyth uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Cavalera.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Cavalera needs to keep his hands up - Smyth had a free shot at his head there. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Smyth comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Kris Smyth will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Smyth wants to slow Cavalera down by chopping away at his legs. Cavalera walks into a straight right hand from Smyth. Cavalera swinging wildly here.
Good leg kick by Smyth there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Smyth walks into a stiff left hand from Cavalera. Smyth misses with a kick to the body and Cavalera connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Cavalera shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Smyth as he avoids it easily. Smyth with a body punch. A glancing blow. Smyth connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Cavalera momentarily.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Smyth attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Smyth tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Smyth just misses with a punch to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cavalera misses with a body shot.
Smyth lands a leg kick that knocks Cavalera off balance momentarily. Smyth thows a body shot but no joy. Smyth has managed to clinch.
Cavalera jumps guard but Smyth stands there with Cavalera around his waist. Cavalera gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Smyth tries to land a knee to the head but Cavalera blocks with his arms.
Smyth missing with knees to the body.
Smyth lands a shoulder strike. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Cavalera. Cavalera lands with a short shot to the head. The referee is keeping an eye on Smyth - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Cavalera is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Max Cavalera. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cavalera can't find room to land a body shot as Smyth controls the action.

Cavalera lands a right hand. Smyth lands a nice knee to the body. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! A right hand to the body from Smyth.
Smyth is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Cavalera is defending well for now. Smyth scores with a hook to the body. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Cavalera is looking to take this one to the mat. Cavalera tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Smyth creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Cavalera's defenses. Smyth with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head. Smyth with an attempt at a knee that misses.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Cavalera is trying to push Smyth away but Smyth has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Smyth lands a good knee to the midsection. Cavalera won't want to take too many of those. Smyth lands a left hand that snaps the head of Cavalera backwards. Smyth lands with a light punch inside. A short uppercut from Smyth. Smyth lands an elbow just above Cavalera 's eye. Smyth is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Cavalera is defending well for now. Smyth misses with a knee to the head. Smyth lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Smyth lands with a light punch inside.
Cavalera is rocked! Smyth working Cavalera over with knees to the body. Oh Cavalera is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Smyth has Cavalera pressed against the cage. He pushes Cavalera back and as he springs towards him off the cage, Smyth throws a beautiful elbow that sends Cavalera crashing to the floor! Smyth piles on the pressure with more strikes! Cavalera is flailing away but he's not defending himself and the referee steps in to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:54 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kris Smyth! During a confident post fight interview, Kris Smyth thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
