Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Deshawn Martin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jack Stone!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Martin looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Stone!
Stone is looking to get to half guard.
Stone is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Martin is trying to take his opponent's back.

Martin is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Stone has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Stone!
Martin seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Stone won't allow Martin to sweep him here.
Stone looking to pass the guard.
Martin wants to sweep here but Stone controlling him for the moment.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Stone trying to control the position from guard on top but Martin is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Martin working for a triangle but Stone defends it easily.
Stone passes into half guard.
Martin controlling the position for now.
Stone prevents Martin from improving his position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Stone is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Martin sees it coming and defends easily.
Stone with the ground and pound but Martin uses the opportunity to regain guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Martin is pulling down on Stone's head. It's preventing any offense from Stone, at least for the moment.
Stone wants to control from the top but Martin keeps moving.
Stone looking to sit in guard and control but Martin gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Martin looking to pass the guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Stone is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Martin defends well.

Martin thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Stone is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Stone throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Stone manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Martin manages to get himself to full guard.
Stone trying to control but Martin is working from the bottom.

Martin is looking to sinch up a triangle. Stone throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Martin's body to avoid the submission. Martin has instead reached around Stone's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Martin arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Deshawn Martin!
Deshawn Martin spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
