Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Lake Tete (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rodnei Franco (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Franco comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Uh! Vai Morrer! kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Lake Tete! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Rodnei Franco! The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Roger Salmon and Micheangelo Fripello.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Franco. Franco with a lazy takedown attempt and Tete counters with a lovely shot to the body. Tete misses the shot to the body. Franco throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Tete's waist but Tete gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Franco off to one side. Lake Tete has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rodnei Franco. Tete tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Franco was well out of range. Poor timing from Tete. Franco misses with a low kick. Franco is trying hard to land a takedown here. Tete sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Tete gets caught napping as Franco dives in and scores a takedown. Tete manages to retain guard. Franco trying to control the position from guard on top but Tete is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Tete is trying to control the position but Franco postures up. Franco throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Tete on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Tete tries to get out of the position. Franco stops Tete from standing up. Franco working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Franco thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tete looking for a guillotine here but Franco defends easily.
Tete can't keep his opponent in guard - Franco advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Franco is looking for a kimura here.
Franco has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Tete defend it? Franco steps over the head and cranks it - Tete is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Franco!
