Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sterling Archer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shawn Velazquez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Velazquez has chosen Before the Flood-"Valor and Vengeance" as his entrance music. Shawn Velazquez has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Cecil Peabody and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Velazquez scores with a push kick.
Archer fails with a takedown attempt.
Velazquez throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Archer does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Velazquez uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Archer.
Good leg kick by Velazquez there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Archer on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Velazquez . Velazquez obviously looking to wear him down.
Velazquez lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

Archer will be looking to protect his midsection after taking some solid kicks to the body.
This has been an exciting period of action!

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Archer. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Velazquez scores with a head kick. Archer tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.

A nice leg kick lands there from Velazquez .
Velazquez looks for a left high kick but can't connect. Velazquez backs up to catch a breather... no he lunges forward with a huge flying knee that smacks Archer's temple! It sends Archer violently to the canvas! The crowd goes nuts as Velazquez celebrates and the doctors try to help Archer!

After winning the bout, Shawn Velazquez thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
