Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
19 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jacks Sole! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Fred Sanford! The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Chris Saunders and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice body kick there by Sanford. Sanford throws a series of punches but Sole avoids them all with ease. Sanford throws an off balance right hand
enabling Sole to counter with a crisp jab.
It looks like Fred Sanford has been cut. Sanford scores with a punch to the head. Sole blocks a leg kick. Sanford walks into a stiff left hand from Sole. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Sanford misses with a left hand and Sole cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Sole takes a kick to the side of the head. Sole checks a low kick from Sanford. Sanford clinches up with Sole and pushes him back against the cage. Sanford tries to land a knee to the head but Sole blocks with his arms.
Sanford is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Sole is keeping busy. Sanford tries a knee to the head but he's missed.

That's one minute gone in the round. A body shot lands from Sole.
Sanford breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Sanford takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Sole looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Sole not landing any meaningful shots this time. Sole is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Sole is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Sole seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sanford tries to get to full guard but Sole has control of the leg. Sole is working for a kimura but Sanford is defending it quite comfortably.
Sole is looking to take a break and control but Sanford is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Sole sitting and controlling from the half guard. Sanford won't allow Sole to pass to mount. Sole landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sanford is trying to maintain the position but Sole is very close to passing his half guard. Sole frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Sole loads up with a big shot that hurts Sanford! He's pulled Sole in close but Sole has postured up and lands more strikes. Can Sanford survive? More strikes from Sole and Sanford is out! The ref jumps in to save him! Brutal ground and pound!
