Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joe Hulbert (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Judas Creed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Joe Hulbert has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Joe Hulbert!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Judas Creed!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Frank Dennis and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hulbert goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

Hulbert instigates a clinch.
Creed looking for a takedown.
Creed is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Hulbert is defending well for now.

Hulbert jumps into guard, dragging Creed to the mat.
Creed won't allow Hulbert to sweep him here.

Creed is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Creed wants to control from the top but Hulbert keeps moving.
Hulbert looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Hulbert is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Hulbert really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Creed is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Hulbert is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Hulbert has escaped and now he's on top!
Creed looks gassed!

Creed wants to control from the top but Hulbert keeps moving.
Hulbert bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Creed's guard.

We're going to have a standup here because Joe Hulbert wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Hulbert plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Hulbert shoots in and drives through. Creed sprawls well.

Hulbert has his takedown stuffed

and Creed counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Creed trying to control but Hulbert is working from the bottom.
Creed postures up.
Hulbert is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Creed accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Hulbert wants to stand and escape but Creed is having none of it.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Hulbert misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Hulbert tries for a takedown but Creed circles away easily

and Creed counters with a shoot takedown. Hulbert fights it but they end up in guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Joe Hulbert. That's going to take a lot out of him.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Creed trying to control the position from guard on top but Hulbert is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Creed drops back looking for a leg! Hulbert is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Hulbert manages to kick Creed off! Creed jumps back into Hulbert's guard.

Hulbert knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Creed on the ground.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Joe Hulbert will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Creed misses with a takedown attempt - Hulbert sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Hulbert throws out a leg kick but Creed moves out of range and Hulbert only half commits.
Hulbert throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Creed's waist but Creed gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hulbert off to one side.
Hulbert closes the distance and clinches up with Creed, looking for a takedown. Hulbert pushes Creed against the cage but Creed circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Hulbert shoots in for a takedown but Creed shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Joe Hulbert. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Creed shoots in and bounces Hulbert off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Creed drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Hulbert dives on top into guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Joe Hulbert just wasn't active enough.

Creed loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Creed throwing strikes from guard but Hulbert blocks nicely.
Creed trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Hulbert manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!
Hulbert wants to stand and escape but instead Creed has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Creed postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Hulbert is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Creed, into his guard.

Hulbert wants to pass the guard but Creed is keeping the position.
Creed is trying to control the position but Hulbert postures up.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Creed has a closed guard, preventing Hulbert from standing up.

Creed scrambles and gets back to his feet.

Hulbert drives through and clinches with Creed against the cage.
Creed blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Joe Hulbert will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!


Hulbert throws a push kick but Creed slaps the foot to one side.
Hulbert will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Creed shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Hulbert defends it nicely.
Hulbert fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Creed avoids it really well and circles away.
Creed avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Hulbert shoots for a takedown but Creed saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Creed takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

A slapping body kick lands there for Hulbert.
Creed avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Hulbert throws a body punch but Creed moves out of range.

Creed shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Hulbert manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Creed drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Hulbert dives on top into guard.

Hulbert drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Hulbert jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Hulbert working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Hulbert seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Joe Hulbert.
Creed swats away the attempt to clinch by Hulbert.
Hulbert shoots in but Creed avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Hulbert ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Creed moves away.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Creed dodges the punch combination from Hulbert.
Creed shoots for a double leg takedown but Hulbert sprawls well. He's pushed Creed's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Joe Hulbert is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Hulbert misses with a takedown attempt - Creed sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Joe Hulbert showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Hulbert, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
