PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rasputin Radiulnarbreak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Don Cragen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Radiulnarbreak kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is David Goliath - Midwest Meat Market. Cragen has chosen Captain Cragen as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Don Cragen has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rasputin Radiulnarbreak!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Don Cragen!
The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Radiulnarbreak cracks Cragen with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Radiulnarbreak lands a really nice looking cross but Cragen seems unphased.
Radiulnarbreak stuns Cragen with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Cragen with a poor takedown
and Radiulnarbreak cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Cragen throws a hook to the side of Radiulnarbreak's head but Radiulnarbreak sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Cragen takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Cragen shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Radiulnarbreak counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Radiulnarbreak scores with a nice head shot.
Cragen tries to clinch there but Radiulnarbreak circles away.
Cragen fails with the takedown
and Radiulnarbreak counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Rasputin Radiulnarbreak has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Don Cragen.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The ground and pound from Cragen seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Cragen postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Radiulnarbreak regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Cragen.

Cragen keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Radiulnarbreak's head.

Cragen throws a big right hand that misses.
Radiulnarbreak looking to control.
Cragen missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Cragen trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Cragen in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Radiulnarbreak escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Cragen gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Cragen avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Cragen working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Radiulnarbreak's head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Cragen postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Don Cragen will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Radiulnarbreak sizes up Cragen with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Cragen tries to clinch up but Radiulnarbreak circles away and keeps his distance.
Cragen fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Radiulnarbreak misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Radiulnarbreak scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Cragen to see if he's OK.

Radiulnarbreak lands a nice forearm strike.
Cragen is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Radiulnarbreak has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Radiulnarbreak wants to lay and pray for a moment but Cragen keeps working.
Cragen is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Radiulnarbreak is controlling him well.

Cragen kicks off Radiulnarbreak and gets to his feet.

Cragen throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Jab, jab by Radiulnarbreak - just one landing.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Cragen.

Well Radiulnarbreak has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
