Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Watcharaphong Phantalee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rafael Bastos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Watcharaphong Phantalee has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Watcharaphong Phantalee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rafael Bastos!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Phantalee misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Phantalee tries a head kick but it misses.
Phantalee pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Phantalee tries to sprawl but Bastos drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Phantalee is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Bastos is nestled in close to Phantalee, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Phantalee looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Phantalee looking for submissions from an awkward position here.

Bastos working Phantalee over with strikes.
Bastos is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Bastos winds up and cracks Phantalee with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Phantalee looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Bastos looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Phantalee with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
That's one minute gone in the round.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Bastos connects with a nice short shot to Phantalee's temple.
Bastos passes to full mount!
Bastos cracks Phantalee with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rafael Bastos!
