Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jiri Piri (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Olav Peterson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jiri Piri! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Olav Peterson! The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Piri is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Peterson. Piri with a nice cross. Peterson moves forwards but Piri connects with a nice, crisp jab. Piri throws a right hand that misses
and Piri takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Piri scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Piri looks to land a left hand but Peterson moved out of range nicely. Piri throws the left hand but Peterson avoids the punch easily. Piri just misses with a punch to the body.
Piri swings widly with a right hand
and Peterson counters with a head kick. That will keep Piri thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Piri waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Peterson. Piri misses with a lunging right hand

and Peterson counters with a lovely straight right hand! Piri throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Peterson counters with a nice uppercut. Piri waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Peterson. Piri is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Peterson moves out of range as Piri strikes. Piri throws an overhand right that lands on Peterson's shoulder, as Peterson tries to avoid the shot. Peterson misses with a takedown attempt - Piri sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Piri swings widly with a right hand
and Peterson counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Jiri Piri has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Olav Peterson. Peterson uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Piri. Piri misses with an uppercut
and Peterson counters with a stiff right hand. Peterson connects with a nice looking jab.
Peterson shoots for a double leg takedown but Piri sprawls well. He's pushed Peterson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Piri is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Peterson.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jiri Piri. Well Piri has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win...
