Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Justin Fighter! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jay Swizzy! The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Yuuki Gou and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fighter takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Swizzy scores with a jab. Fighter acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Swizzy misses with a two punch combination.
Swizzy walks into a stiff left hand from Fighter. Fighter drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Fighter lands with a nice body punch. Swizzy throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. This has been an exciting period of action! Swizzy ducks under a wild hook from Fighter. Swizzy takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Fighter motions for Swizzy to come forward. Fighter throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Swizzy slips a straight right by Fighter. Fighter fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Swizzy manages to avoid it. Fighter scores with a body shot.
Justin Fighter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Swizzy slips under a jab. Fighter misses with a jab, cross combination.
Fighter moves into range and connects with a jab. Swizzy throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Fighter. Swizzy takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Fighter throws a predictable looking body shot
and Swizzy counters with a two punch combo.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fighter lands with an overhand left. Fighter slips a jab and a cross from Swizzy.
Fighter lands a slapping body shot.
Swizzy ducks under a wild hook from Fighter. Swizzy misses with a two punch combination.
Fighter takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Swizzy scores with a body shot.
Swizzy takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Swizzy misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Sloppy strikes from Fighter. Those never looked like landing. Fighter falls off balance throwing a combination
and Swizzy counters with a lovely shot to the body. Fighter is breathing heavily. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Fighter clobbers Swizzy with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Some wild striking there from Swizzy.
Fighter bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Swizzy's head backwards.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fighter uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. A combination from Swizzy does no damage. Fighter rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Swizzy counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Fighter thinking. Swizzy misses with a series of wild punches.
Fighter takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Sloppy strikes from Swizzy. Those never looked like landing. Swizzy darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Swizzy jabs Fighter right on the nose. Fighter blinks but takes it well. Fighter misses with a body shot.
Fighter misses the jab. Swizzy lunges at Fighter with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Fighter's hand. Swizzy lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Fighter throws a right hand that misses
and Swizzy counters with a series of strikes that really hurt Fighter! The ref looks into his eyes and sees nobody home - he's called the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jay Swizzy! Jay Swizzy decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
