Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Marcus Buford!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Alexandre Firmino and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nunez uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
It looks like Marcus Buford has been cut.
Nunez looks to land a left hand but Buford moved out of range nicely.
Buford looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Nunez is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Buford shoots for a double leg takedown but Nunez sprawls well. He's pushed Buford's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Buford fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Buford shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Nunez as he avoids it easily.

Nunez wants to get back to his feet but Buford is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Nunez manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Buford manages to get himself to full guard.

Nunez tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Buford paws at him with a jab and circles away.
The fight stays on the outside here - Nunez looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Nunez lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Nunez tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Buford swivels and escapes.
Nunez tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Nunez is looking to clinch but Buford is avoiding it.
Nunez fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Nunez throws a right and a left that Buford avoids nicely.

Buford slips a nice elbow through Nunez's hands, connecting with Nunez's forehead.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Nunez is trying to stand up here but Buford is controlling him well.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Nunez can do anything to dispel that myth.
Buford blocks the strikes from Nunez.
Buford sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Nunez defending well though.
Nunez wants to get back to his feet.

Buford thows a huge punch but Nunez dodges it nicely.
Nunez tries to get to full guard but Buford has control of the leg.
Nunez pushes Buford off looking to stand but Buford dives back in and keeps control.
Nunez really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Buford. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Nunez throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Nunez wants to clinch but Buford slips to the side
and Buford counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Buford.

Nunez is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Buford trying to control the position from guard on top but Nunez is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Buford lands a couple of decent looking shots.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Buford is working Nunez over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Buford has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Buford stands up over Nunez, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Nunez throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Nice takedown defense from Nunez. No joy for Buford on that attempt.
No joy there for Nunez, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Nunez fails with the takedown
and Buford counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Nunez!
Nunez takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Buford's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
