Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between John Vio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cottontail Rabbit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Cottontail Rabbit was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, John Vio! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 93 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Cottontail Rabbit! The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Edson Gomes and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vio closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Rabbit's guard. Vio will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Vio slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Rabbit should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Vio gets to his feet - Rabbit follows without any prompting. Vio staying out of range there. Vio forces Rabbit back against the cage and clinches. Vio pulls guard. Vio pushes Rabbit off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Rabbit looks to land a right hand but Vio moved out of range. Vio shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Vio controlling his opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round. Vio has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Vio lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Vio content just to control the position here. Rabbit really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Vio. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's two minutes gone in the round. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Vio working away from the top, dropping strikes. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. This has been an exciting period of action! Vio tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Vio connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Vio content just to control the position here. Oooooh, big shot lands for Vio! Rabbit is hurt baaadly! Vio is firing away with more strikes - Rabbit is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). John Vio!
