Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ricardo Awa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nevar Fury (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ricardo Awa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Nevar Fury!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Ryoma Takatsuka and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fury blocks a head kick by Awa.
Awa misses with a low kick.
Awa throws a push kick but Fury slaps the foot to one side.
Awa lands with a slapping head kick.
It looks like Nevar Fury has been cut.
Fury throws a leg kick that is checked
and Awa counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Awa throws a quick inside leg kick.
Awa connects with an inside leg kick.
A slapping leg kick lands for Fury.
Awa lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Awa will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
A low kick from Fury misses
and Awa counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Fury thinking.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Awa throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Fury wants to land a leg kick but Awa is out of range.
Awa misses with a double jab.
A punch combination from Awa misses.
A head kick misses from Awa.
Awa throws a hook but Fury avoids it easily.
Awa fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

and Fury connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Fury comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Fury throws a low kick but it's checked well by Awa.
Fury throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Awa lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Fury backs up against the cage.
Good work by Awa as he checks the leg kick.
Fury will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Fury avoids the body shot from Awa.
Awa tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Fury shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Awa but Awa pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Sloppy strikes from Fury. Those never looked like landing.

Awa cracks Fury with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Fury throws a jab but it's blocked by Awa.

Fury throws a low kick but Awa avoids it.
Fury takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Awa is looking to wear down Fury with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Fury tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Awa throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Fury is looking to land body kicks.
Good leg kick by Awa there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Fury does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

and Fury counters with a slapping leg kick.

Fury shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Awa as he jumps to the side.
Fury tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Awa was well out of range. Poor timing from Fury.
Awa really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Awa swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Fury misses with a low kick.
Awa throws a nice looking combination but Fury bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Fury takes a kick to the side of the head.
Awa tries to bum rush Fury with a series of wild strikes but Fury uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Fury slips a jab and a cross from Awa.
Awa throws a head kick but Fury moves out of range.
Awa with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Awa misses with a head kick.
Fury looks to land a combination but Awa avoids it well.
Awa throws a right and a left that Fury avoids nicely.
Fury moves out of range of the body kick.
Fury swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Awa stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Fury throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
A big right from Fury misses.
Awa takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
A clash of legs there as Awa blocks the low kick.
Awa throws a sloppy head kick and Fury moves out of range easily.
Awa moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Nice straight punches there by Awa. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Awa.
Awa is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
A nice inside leg kick there by Awa. That's going to slow Fury down.
Fury throws out a leg kick but Awa moves out of range and Fury only half commits.
Fury tries for a takedown but Awa sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Ricardo Awa has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nevar Fury.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Fury has an Americana. Awa didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Fury is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Fury hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Nevar Fury!
