The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Eliza Hachem and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Junior tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Carroll manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Carroll pushes Junior up against the cage in a clinch.
Junior tries to break the clinch but Carroll is controlling the position.
The referee is keeping an eye on Carroll - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Carroll manages to pull guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Junior would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Junior knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Carroll on the ground.
Carroll has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Junior off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Junior throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Carroll's waist but Carroll gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Junior off to one side.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Junior throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Carroll on the side of the head.
Junior shoots in looking for a takedown but Carroll manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Junior's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Junior gets tackled into the cage by Carroll. Carroll maintains the clinch.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Let's hope that Carroll has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Junior shoots in looking for a takedown. Carroll tries to sprawl out of it but Junior keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Carroll manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Carroll throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
And that's the end of the fight!
Matt Carroll comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Carroll has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

A very excited looking Matt Carroll rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
