Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lyoto Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ben Askren (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Lyoto Jackson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ben Askren! The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Josh West and Paul Gruel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Askren shoots in looking for a takedown. Jackson tries to sprawl out of it but Askren keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Jackson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Jackson fails with an attempt to clinch.
Askren tries to clinch and Jackson counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Askren closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Jackson did well to prevent Askren getting side control. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Askren stops Jackson from getting back to his feet.
Jackson is doing well to control the position and prevent Askren from advancing to side control. Askren is trying to control the action in half guard but Jackson is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Nice strikes from Askren there. Askren throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Askren is looking to take a break and control but Jackson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
That's one minute gone in the round. Askren missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Jackson is looking to escape. Ground and pound from Askren. Jackson is staying active underneath Askren, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Askren thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Jackson's head. Askren with the ground and pound but Jackson uses the opportunity to regain guard. Askren trying to control the position from guard on top but Jackson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Jackson looking to control.
Askren throws a big right hand that misses. Jackson keeping full guard, as Askren tries to pass.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Askren scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Askren is looking to work some ground and pound but Jackson has wrist control. Askren missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Jackson avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Jackson has his feet on Askren's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Askren fails with a takedown attempt. Askren will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Lyoto Jackson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ben Askren. Askren stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Jackson. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Askren lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Jackson has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Jackson and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Askren fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. A chopping leg kick lands by Jackson. Jackson closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Askren drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A frustrated look appears on Jackson's face as he tries to break the clinch. Jackson crunches a lovely knee into Askren's ribcage. Jackson tries to land a knee to the head but Askren blocks with his arms.

Jackson is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Askren works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Jackson manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Askren manages to get himself to full guard.

A close round but Ben Askren will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Jackson ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Askren moves away. Askren shoots in but no luck this time. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Askren. Jackson clobbers Askren with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Askren shoots for a takedown but Jackson saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Lyoto Jackson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ben Askren. Askren fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Askren throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Jackson. Ben Askren seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nice sprawl there from Jackson as Askren shoots in. Jackson fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Askren. Askren stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Jackson. Askren is breathing heavily. Jackson scores with a jab to the body. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Jackson lands a big head kick that sends Askren tumbling to the mat! Jackson takes a step backwards and waves Askren back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Askren is rocked!
It looks like Ben Askren has been cut. Lyoto Jackson is winning the standup battle so far. Askren stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Jackson. Askren is still on wobbly legs! Can Jackson finish him? Jackson lands with a good body shot. Askren takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Jackson fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Askren has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Look low, kick high! Jackson uses the oldest trick in the book to send Askren tumbling to the canvas, in a truly brutal knockout! Jackson is absolutely delighted - when Askren wakes up, I doubt he'll be quite so happy!
