Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Cook (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Camber Cartwright (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Daniel Cook!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Camber Cartwright!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Hirohito Nitta.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cook gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
The referee is keeping an eye on Cartwright - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Cartwright's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Cartwright escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Cook gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Cook stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cartwright swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Cartwright is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Cook working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Cartwright's head.
Cook stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cartwright swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Cartwright wants to stand and escape but Cook is having none of it.

Cartwright is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Cook defends well.

Cook decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Daniel Cook seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cartwright throws a half hearted mid kick.

Cook jumps guard but Cartwright stands there with Cook around his waist. Cook gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Cartwright has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Cook is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Cartwright.
Cartwright is breathing heavily.
The referee asks Cook politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Cook prefers to stall for the moment though.

You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
