The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Johnson tries to bum rush Eachuryno with a series of wild strikes but Eachuryno uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Johnson misses with a takedown attempt

and Eachuryno counters by clinching up.
Eachuryno tries a knee to the head but Johnson blocks it.

Eachuryno has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Johnson regains guard immediately.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Eachuryno stands up from Johnson's guard - Eachuryno perhaps looking for a knockout.
Johnson wants to clinch

and Eachuryno counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Eachuryno passes into half guard.
Eachuryno uses his free foot to push down on Johnson's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Johnson.
Johnson looks gassed!

Eachuryno has hold of an arm here, looking to extend it. He's committed to the armbar attempt here! Will he get it?! Yes! Johnson is forced to tap!
