The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good leg kick by Alastair there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Alastair.
Alastair misses with a double jab.

No joy there for Alastair, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Alastair.
Gomez lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Gomez fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Alastair on the side of the head.
Mario Gomez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Alastair on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Gomez throws a series of punches but Alastair moves out of range.
Alastair throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.

Gomez throws a monster overhand right that drops Alastair! Gomez follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!
