Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Adam Cuddell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bunny Anstey!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Ian Loll and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cuddell tries to close the distance and clinch up but Anstey swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Anstey closes the distance and clinches up with Cuddell, looking for a takedown. Anstey pushes Cuddell against the cage but Cuddell circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Adam Cuddell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Anstey closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Cuddell to the mat! Cuddell manages to get full guard.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Bunny Anstey hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Well, if Anstey is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Anstey thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Cuddell's head.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Anstey in particular looking to stall.

Cuddell is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Anstey swats away the attempt to clinch by Cuddell.
Cuddell scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Cuddell doesn't manage to clinch there - Anstey circles away.
Anstey ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Cuddell cracks Anstey with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Cuddell will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

and Anstey counters with a nice double leg into side control. Cuddell won't be happy with that.

Anstey has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Cuddell is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Anstey has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Anstey takes a little break here. Cuddell wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Anstey is trying to ground and pound but Cuddell uses the momentary lack of control by Anstey to regain half guard.

Anstey looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Bunny Anstey has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Cuddell wants to land a leg kick but Anstey is out of range.
Cuddell will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Cuddell tries a head kick but it misses.
No joy there for Anstey, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Cuddell.
A combination from Anstey does no damage.

Anstey shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Cuddell is trying to defend but Anstey finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Cuddell wants to get back to his feet.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Anstey in particular looking to stall.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Bunny Anstey wasn't active enough on the ground.
Cuddell shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Anstey sprawls well. Anstey wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Cuddell gets slowly back to his feet.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Cuddell throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Cuddell tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Anstey shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Anstey showed some decent athleticism there.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Bunny Anstey showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Cuddell shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.

Cuddell shoots for a double leg takedown but Anstey sprawls well. He's pushed Cuddell's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Anstey postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Anstey tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Let's hope that Anstey has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Cuddell is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.

Bunny Anstey comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Anstey winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
