Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ledil Kuch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Antti Sokka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Kuch might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Bob Seger - Turn the Page. Sokka has chosen Black Sun Aeon - Core of Winter as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
21 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Ledil Kuch! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
19 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Antti Sokka! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sokka throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Kuch misses with a hook. Sokka ducked under it nicely. Sokka shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Kuch but Kuch pushes him off and we're back to square one. Sokka throws a wild body kick that Kuch sees coming a mile off. Sokka throws out a leg kick but Kuch moves out of range and Sokka only half commits. Kuch scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Sokka motions for Kuch to come forward. Sokka throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Sokka keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Kuch. Sokka gets tackled into the cage by Kuch. Kuch maintains the clinch. Sokka tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Kuch just stands there and leans against the cage. Sokka manages to pull guard.
Kuch has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Sokka looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Sokka is adopting a defensive guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kuch wants to stand but Sokka has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Sokka is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Antti Sokka wasn't active enough on the ground. Kuch tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Sokka paws at him with a jab and circles away. Sokka looks for a takedown but Kuch sprawls well. Ledil Kuch has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Antti Sokka. Sokka looks for a takedown but Kuch sprawls well. Kuch jabs Sokka to the body, keeping him at a distance. Kuch tries to score with a low kick but Sokka moves his leg out of the way. Kuch throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Sokka. Sokka lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Sokka takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kuch avoids the head kick by Sokka.
Sokka has closed the distance and engaged Kuch in a clinch.
Sokka pushes Kuch back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Sokka is trying to pull guard but Kuch turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! A battle for position here, against the cage. Sokka is trying to pull guard but Kuch turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Kuch taking a breather. Maybe Kuch would be better served going for some more strikes rather than trying to control so much. Kuch goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Kuch misses with the head strike.
Sokka has picked Kuch up - he's going for a ride! Sokka dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Kuch avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Sokka.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kuch is trying to stand up here but Sokka is controlling him well. Sokka trying to pass the guard but Kuch defending well. Sokka is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Kuch defends it well. Sokka wants to take a breather but Kuch is having none of it. Sokka is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Kuch has managed to free his arm - good work. Kuch is looking to escape.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Well, if Sokka is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sokka with the ground and pound but Kuch uses the opportunity to regain guard. Sokka trying to control the position from guard on top but Kuch is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Sokka stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kuch swivels though and keeps the full guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Kuch working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Sokka. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Antti Sokka will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Kuch throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Kuch throws a series of punches but Sokka avoids them all with ease. Kuch is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Sokka pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Kuch fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Sokka checks it well. Sokka chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Kuch goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Ledil Kuch seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Sokka misses with a leg kick. Kuch throws a lazy right hand but Sokka sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Kuch throws a jab but it's blocked by Sokka. Sokka fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. A head kick by Kuch misses and Sokka counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Sokka blocks a body shot from Kuch. Sokka is looking to take this one to the mat. A quick uppercut on the inside from Kuch. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Sokka jumps guard but Kuch turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Ledil Kuch has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Antti Sokka.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kuch breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Sokka shoots in and drives through. Kuch sprawls well. Kuch lands with a straight right. Sokka didn't see that one coming. Kuch defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Sokka. Kuch scores with a jab to the body. Sokka is breathing heavily. A decent looking cross lands there for Kuch.
Sokka is rocked!
It looks like Antti Sokka has been cut. Kuch throws a push kick but Sokka slaps the foot to one side. Sokka moves into range and clinches up with Kuch. Kuch scores with a shot to the side of Sokka's head. Sokka is still on wobbly legs! Can Kuch finish him? This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Kuch softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Kuch dips a shoulder and cracks Sokka with a mighty uppercut! Sokka falls back against the cage and Kuch unloads with a barrage of strikes! Sokka is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Kuch screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
