Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Marwan Elkholy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Reily (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Reily has chosen White Trash Party as his entrance music. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Marwan Elkholy! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, David Reily! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Stewart Dunkirk and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Reily fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Reily looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Elkholy is trying hard to land a takedown here. Reily sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Elkholy doesn't succeed with the takedown and Reily counters with a nice double leg into side control. Elkholy won't be happy with that. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Elkholy tries to bench press Reily off him but Reily keeps the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Reily trying to control the action but Elkholy is working from the bottom. Elkholy tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck. Elkholy tries to control the position but Reily now has his back.
Elkholy rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
That's one minute gone in the round. Reily is just content to waste time from the top position. Elkholy takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Elkholy lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Reily! Elkholy punching from mount but Reily doing a good job of avoiding damage. Elkholy controlling the position easily from mount. Elkholy sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Elkholy throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Reily because Elkholy loaded up on that one. Elkholy unloads with some shots from mount but Reily bucks and avoids them well.
Elkholy thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Elkholy controlling his opponent. Elkholy has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Elkholy throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Elkholy looking to control and managing it successfully.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Elkholy seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Reily for as long as he can get away with.
We're going to have a standup here because Marwan Elkholy wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Elkholy shoots in and drives through. Reily sprawls well. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Marwan Elkholy. That's going to take a lot out of him. Elkholy changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Reily tries to avoid it but Elkholy manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Reily to the ground. Reily escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Elkholy shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Reily as he avoids it easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Elkholy shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Reily pinned against the cage. Reily gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Elkholy drives through and clinches with Reily against the cage.
Elkholy tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Reily smiles and moves away.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Elkholy is defended easily by Reily. Elkholy shoots in and drives through. Reily sprawls well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Marwan Elkholy dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Elkholy shoots for a double leg takedown but Reily sprawls well. He's pushed Elkholy's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Elkholy shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Reily counters with a three punch combo that has Elkholy backing up. Elkholy nods at Reily to acknowledge the strikes. Elkholy misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Marwan Elkholy. That's going to take a lot out of him. Nice takedown defense from Reily. No joy for Elkholy on that attempt. Reily darts in and clinches Elkholy up against the cage. Reily is trying to pull guard but Elkholy turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Reily looking to throw knees to the head but Elkholy is blocking nicely.

That's one minute gone in the round. Elkholy drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Reily gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Reily's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Elkholy doesn't succeed with the takedown and Reily counters with a shoot takedown. Elkholy fights it but they end up in guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Elkholy had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Reily defends it easily. Reily wants to stand but Elkholy is controlling his posture from full guard. Elkholy looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Elkholy looking for a guillotine here but Reily defends easily.

Elkholy working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Reily has passed into half guard!
Elkholy tries to get to full guard but Reily has control of the leg. Elkholy is looking to control Reily's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Elkholy avoid being mounted?
That's four minutes gone in the round. Reily lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Elkholy wants to control but Reily is keeping busy and won't allow it. Elkholy moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Reily trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Elkholy is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Elkholy throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but David Reily will probably get the nod - 10:9. That's time! Back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Elkholy fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Elkholy lands a nice looking body kick. Elkholy tries to clinch but Reily is having none of it. Reily doesn't manage to clinch there - Elkholy circles away.
Elkholy works Reily's body with a nice hook. Elkholy closes the distance and clinches. Elkholy lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Elkholy looking for a takedown. Reily looking to stall.
That's one minute gone in the round. Elkholy is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Reily gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Marwan Elkholy. That's going to take a lot out of him. Elkholy comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. Elkholy wants the takedown. Reily is fighting it off but Elkholy persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Reily's guard against the cage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Elkholy looking to sit in guard and control but Reily gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Reily stopping the sweep attempt from Elkholy. Reily stops Elkholy from standing up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Elkholy is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Marwan Elkholy overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Elkholy has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Elkholy keeping moving, preventing Reily from controlling successfully. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Elkholy trying to strike off his back.

We're going to have a standup here because Marwan Elkholy wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Elkholy connects with a solid leg kick. Reily avoids a punch combination nicely.

Elkholy stuffs the takedown. Elkholy tries to score a power double leg takedown but Reily sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Elkholy somewhat. Marwan Elkholy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Elkholy defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Reily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Reily displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Elkholy. No luck for Reily with that takedown attempt. Elkholy fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Elkholy shoots in for a takedown but Reily shows good takedown defense. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Elkholy with a poor takedown and Reily counters with a one-two to the body. Reily uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Elkholy.
And that's the end of the fight! Marwan Elkholy showed his dominance in that final round. Well Elkholy has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
