Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Stas Andreev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Javier Cabollaro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 7 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Stas Andreev! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
14 - 30 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Javier Cabollaro! The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Konstantin Menshow and Igor Prikhodko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cabollaro shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Andreev pinned against the ropes. Andreev gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Andreev throws a right and a left that both miss. Andreev gets tackled into the ropes by Cabollaro. Cabollaro maintains the clinch. Cabollaro is working on a single leg takedown against the ropes. Andreev can't fight it off and eventually Cabollaro manages to take the fight to the floor. Andreev looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Andreev utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Andreev is looking to stand up but Cabollaro isn't so interested in that idea. Cabollaro throwing strikes from guard but Andreev blocks nicely. Andreev is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Cabollaro lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Andreev is looking to stand up but Cabollaro isn't so interested in that idea. Cabollaro throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Andreev works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cabollaro loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Cabollaro throws a big elbow that misses. Andreev wants to stand up but Cabollaro is controlling him. Cabollaro trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Andreev wants to get back to his feet but Cabollaro is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Cabollaro must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Andreev scrambles and gets back to his feet.
A telegraphed right hand from Cabollaro misses the target. Andreev throws a sloppy head kick and Cabollaro moves out of range easily. Cabollaro shoots in but no luck this time. Cabollaro pushes Andreev up against the ropes in a clinch. Andreev manages to break the clinch.
A head kick misses from Andreev. Andreev misses with a jab, cross combination.
Andreev seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Cabollaro shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Andreev is backing up but Cabollaro catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Andreev covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Cabollaro Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!
